Hydro Dip a Helmet

I'm thinking about having my brother-inlaw do my helmet, he recently did a few parts for my bike and they turned out awesome!

what about removing the padding that can be removed from the helmet, would you plug vents? haven't seen a helmet done, so now I'm curious...

If you can do a gun with all it's intricacies, certainly a helmet shell with vents would not be an issue.

most people dont dip whole guns put together lol
they dip the frame of like a glock, or the plastic on an AR. Since most of the AR is plastic, you can dip most of the gun. I'd say it would be safe but pull all of the foam off first, because you dont want water clogging all the holes of the helmet. The dip covering the holes isnt a problem because you can just cut them with an exacto knife.

Ive got a donar helmet. If i get time maybe i can give it a whirl! What do i need ? Borax? Model toy paint right?

I have seen a few things dipped. Im looking for a motorcycle helmet. I reached out to a local guy and he said 60-70 bucks. I'm not really into skulls though. My liner is not removable but he said that isn't a problem. If I get it done I will post pics. A winter project for the cold Nebraska winter.
