Way to down grade HD, real good coorperite insight on that one.

Frigging joke.

Not endorsing this in any way, just sharing what I've found.

Harley Management on the subject of some dealerships partnering with Hyosung:
So what does Harley think of all this? "The management at Harley-Davidson knows what we are doing with some of their dealers, said White. "However, they do not endorse our activities in any way." Surely the lack of objection counts as tacit approval or at least throwing ailing dealers a potentially profitable bone during hard times.

haha! I cant wait till the super low quality parts from the hyosung make it into harley production lines!
No seriously I still want to piss on the door step of Harley Davidson corperate offices.

i cant see it working...might be more in line with renting space at harley dealer..id see one or two during the last few years tucked away in a corner at the local honda suzuki yamaha showroom floor..i seen one on the road a 250cc,,,old timer rode it had it for 3 years no problems

I really don't know what to say about this... from ama superbike champs to pos wishiwere a bike champs

The HD Dealers will put them where the Buells used to be. This relationship will end in a few years too.

They also sell BMW bikes and have for years. http://www.brucerossmeyer.com/ sells a ton of stuff down in Daytona.

Dealers branching into other companies besides Harley exclusively is not new. Since the Blast is now actually gone with the Buell plant, they need something for rider's edge.

Hyosung bikes aren't terrible, but I would rather see the V-Star line than them. Star motorcycles at least has some real punch in them. V-Max is crazy powerful V-4, I've seen guys ride black stripes into pavement for over a hundred feet.

Also note it's a small cluster in only a small portion of the US... it's not like the HDMC is actually doing this, it's a dealership group. The motor company itself is not associated with what dealerships choose to pick up for additional lines in any way. HDMC has never dis-allowed dealerships from selling Drag parts before.

the performance specs of them look pretty bad, especially the sport bike weight and the fact that they weigh more than buells.

I have a GV650 which is a cruiser. It does a 12.7 in the quarter, Thats pretty good for a 650 cruiser.

I guess instead of the BUELL: AMERICAN MOTORCYCLES slogan, its now HYOSUNG :KOREAN MOTORCYCLES.

The engine in the Hyosung is the same engine that is in the Sv650 Suzuki crotch rocket.

If you thought the dealer network hated selling Buell's just wait and see how they talk crap about these bikes. Since it's only at select dealers and not a HD backed effort I don't think I'll see them here locally, thank god.
