I had the Diablo which was too hard for me, then I got the Corsa III which I loved. Now I have the PP2ct which feels harder than the diablo. I'm getting ready put a Corsa III back on.
You have to have tires the instill confidence. If not then you will never ride to your liking. Sell the Michelins and go back to what you like in the Corsa's
I dropped the pressure down to 31 to see if it would make a difference. Maybe I'm not leaning it enough. I've had a bit of "the fear" since my lowside. It doesn't help that every time I go to take a corner fast I feel a slide.
Yeah, forgot about your slide. I was Exactly the same way after lowsiding mine. I just kinda "started over" going slower into the same turns I was ripping before the slide, and then after awhile, I was back to ripping them.
It's not a matter of being a wuss, just confidence; and nothing rips it more than a slide. Give it more time, build confidence by starting slower and leaning deeper as you feel comfortable. It'll come in time, just don't rush it since the alternative isn't worth it.
dave, haven't had the dual compounds but i can say that the regular pilot powers are by far my favorite. give it time and you'll get back into your old groove.
Got to say I agree with you Dave. Never got on with mine....bike always felt edgy, unstable at speed and never really settled in the twisties. Stuck some Dunlop GP racers on it......absolutely transformmed the bike. Each to their own....if they don't feel right then they ain't!
You shouldn't be having a problem with it spinning, most of the guys I know run PP 2ct's on their newer liter bikes and don't have a problem under 165 rwhp.
I currently have an original pilot road on the rear with the hard compound all the way around and holds tight.
^^ lol im running Road 2 on the rear and a ppt2 up front and it feels really great and im getting really good mileage out of them. Iv been riding with a a guy who sells really decent take-offs that I might try next.
IMO its the lowside and an un-familiar tire. I really like the stock Diablos but I think the Michelin are a step up from them.
