I found a little treasure today

I'm not much for hanging on to trinkets and doo-dads. Between living in limited spaces with unknown exit dates, or just living light and mobile...Somehow this stayed with me all this time and I ran across it totally randomly today. I remember where I bought it new!!



Turns out it's not only very nice kit of a kick-ass super bike flashback:love_heart:, it's also a fairly rare first edition (1984!). I wonder if my eyes are good enough to do it justice??

King Kenny Roberts raced that bike in the 1983 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. He finished the year 2nd behind Freddy Spencer on a Honda NS500. Great racing back in the day on those 2 strokes with Americans kicking ass.

Those were the days... I can't even imagine what a proper 500cc 2-stroke Grand Prix bike would be like to ride! Insane...

That's pretty cool. Parts look small! I'd need some of those magnifying goggles. You should put it together. Then you'll remember the day you bought it, and the day you built it, or ruined it depending .

I'm not sure if I'll build it or not? There was I time when my calloused Hellboy hands were a bit smaller and less shaky:crushed:

There were three of them in the box, there was the Dukes of Hazard General Lee (of course) and this badass ride!:up:

Maybe I'll start with that? Heck, I don't even know what I'd do with them even if I built them. Just a neat flashback.
