I hate my bars! HELP!

I just got my bike, only problem is, up to this point i've always built and rode cafe racer style bikes, I need some familiar bars in front of my face!!!!

Any suggestions, links and comments welcomed!

My current bars clamp on, i want something more aggresive.

also, in all honesty, I wanna find something that I can just swap out, slide on all the controls and go! can I do this with the crossroads?

Get the 7 degree crossroads...for rad aggressiveness. The installation can go trouble free but then again some have had problems getting the cables to work trouble free on ocassion. I replaced my cables with new ones after a few trys and it worked out.

It all bolts together very simply...ask for the picture instructions if you order from Al or Joanne at American Sport Bike. You'll need new grips. I'd be thinkin about your mirrors also...unless of course you like them oem ones...even the cheap bar end mirrors look alot better and for me ..see better.

Also- @Miami78. did you cut the ends of the bars to make them more narrow or is this pic the regular length out of the box?

That's the stock length...I plan on cutting them down about a quarter inch though since they stick out from the grips as is.

You can just google drag bars. They will hook up the same as your current bars and your cables will work, plus they are very cheap so you can afford the new mirrors.

Buelltastic, what did you do to the back of your airbox? I have the same one and wouldn't mind protecting the back, but I don't want to cover it with one of the solid pieces.

Has anyone gotten drag bars to really work on the XB without needing risers? I know the bars are cheap, and I wouldn't mind trying some but I was worried they would hit the airbox at full lock at the normal height.

I have some Renthal Streetfighters on mine and I really like them. They're lower and more forward. The angle of your hands makes you feel like you're sticking your elbows out a little more, which I like. They also look a ton better, which is a big plus. They belong to a friend who changed to 1-1/8 and has no use for them. I think he wants me to buy them from him, but they're gold and my bike is red/silver, so I'm not sure about the color. May paint them black but I'm not sure how that would look with everything else being silver.
