I wanted to know if anyone has a xb9s and have swapped the header pipe for a xb12s. The dealer said there is no clearence issues just better flow. I want to know if this is a good idea or not...
on some choppers they use torque cones inside the headers, you might be able to use this method without sacrificing your low end, though I think the power band would have more dips and peeks.
The torque cones make sense but will reduce flow witch would defeat the purpose in this case, right?
You shouldn't need a bigger header unless you have a bunch of other motor work done.
I was suggesting the torque cones to use the headers as a cosmetic upgrade, as far as power goes you are going to have a hard time beating the stock headers! they are increadible and well designed
