Hey i know that a Uly is no top speed bike by any means, but i cant every seem to push mine over 125. I definetly have no real need to. I was just wondering if that was normal or if neone had any simple tuning suggestions that might allow me to tap 135 or so[smirk] As if the head shake at 125 with saddlebags on wasn,t scary enough.

Speeds got nothing to do with it, it's just more fun on a Buell. You can get killed doing 40mph carving a hairpin - on a Gixxer, Ninja, Buell, or any bike.

But if you plan on spending a lot of time topping out the speedometer, best do like he said and look into a steering stabilizer. What year is your bike anyway Buelly?

My 9R is super stable at 130+. I've hit 140 indicated, who knows what the real speed was. Some say gps pegs at 138 and I'm cool with that.

that fast, it's moslty wind resistance that will prevent you from reaching top speed. did you try it with the bags off?

i have an 06 uly with a race comp. and perile deoblo rosa tires that stick rilly well iv hit 150 it rilly smooth but only once my bike and job is too much to lose so i keep it under 100[mad]
