I need a new primary cover

Anyone got a good condition grey primary cover for sale? This is not my pic, but the same thing happened.

The lip broke off and totally ruined my perfect ride today. I got a quote on one from ASB but a used one in good condition would make my wallet happier. Has this happened to anyone else?

Apparently it's a common problem with buells and sportsters. Not much you can do until it happens. And when it does, it just feels like your clutch goes out. I was stuck in 1st gear and ended up having to turn it off in a parking lot.

Thanks for the links. Those fixes look more secure and much cheaper than replacing the primary. I'll keep this updated with the outcome. Hopefully nothing else was destroyed in the process.

If you can Get yourself a New one while you can get them. lakeshore harley davidson Buell [lshd 1.com] may have a new one. I always put some Red transmission assembly Lube around that area so it is not dry rubbed on Metal surfaces Area. The Assembly Lube Will Not hurt Transmission. Check with Buellster Parts.com as well. You can call a dealership for the years Part number then look it up on lshd 1.com to see in you can get it cheaper than the Dealership. Check out the Repair Threads also.
