So i have a snapped throttle cable! so i need a new one!, does anybody have one?....

Also do all xbs have the same throttle cable?

And finally how hard is it to change?...

I guess i learned how not to install new hand grips!

while looking online I found some From ASB and also buellsterparts.com

ASB charges like $50 + shipping (kinda pricey for a cable i think.

where as the other site has the single cable (the long one that i need that goes down and in towards the engine and such for like $15. I havent heard much of any review about buellsterparts.com from anybody...ever. Have anybody bought anything from them before?

I will still hold out to see if anybody has one, please let me know if you do!!!!

people on here recommend buellster all the time only every time I need something from them they do not have it in stock.

thanks for that firebolt, guess i just never click the right threads haha, and yea turns out the trottle cable they had for 15....happens to fit the blast :( and the one i need isnt in stock....hmmm....i'm looking on ebay and badweb as well. ebay has one for $30, and it doesnt end for three days....

I'm still curious how dificult it is to change the throttle cable?....it snapped at the bottom...

The cable is actually pretty easy to change out. I broke the idle control cable last year while riding and it was no fun riding like that. I decided that while I was taking eveything apart and that the cable snapped, it was a good idea to replace both the throttle cable and the Idle control cable. Might want to keep that in mind.

Basically you have to take off your housing that contains the cables on your handle bars then take your airbox cover off and take the other end of the cables off the throttle body. Then snake the cables through the frame and out. It might also be easier for your to remove the windscreen also.

I bought one from harley and it was $24.. part #N0307.1ADA this is the one that opens the throttle. hope this helps. Chris 03'xb9s

thanks everybody! I went ahead and ordered from American Sport bike!

and Christpudd, i called my harley dealership this morning just to see if they had any in stock (they didnt) but they gave me the same price as ASB 49.00!!! and it would be a week wait till they got it in. So between giving harley my $50 or ASB my $50 i chose the company who actually likes buell! :) and i bet I'll get it sooner than the Harley dealership to!

I also went ahead and got the idle since you guys, and the book says its good to replace both at the same time. I'm so broke from everything i've done to my bike this winter! (i'm glad i get paid friday!)

Glad to hear it, sorry if i mucked up the price, maybe i looked at something else i was buying on the receipt.. [smirk]
