OK I just got my GSG engine sliders and I can't find how to take off the timeing cover. I thought it just comes off when you take out the two screws?

I'm trying to put on the slider shown here. I tried just monting in place where the scerws go, but the holes are to big. I has the ugly carbon fiber cover on it so it's not stock. And the instructions don't tell me if I have to take off the cover or just place it over it. And one more thing can't get the cover to move at all to match the photo on the instructions.

There are no rivits there scerws.

Ok, couldnt tell from the pic. Anyways, after those two screws are out, there is another plate that the outside one is sitting on top of. There is nothing else attaching it other than those 2 screws. If it is not coming out, the only reason I can think of is that it got glued down or something by the previous guy...

u can tap those rivets with a punch & hammer & they will break & remove the cover

Yeah i asked the people that I got it from and they were told that they don't come with any part to hold the right side slider on, so no missing parts. looks like I'm going to have to drill and tap new holes in the timing cover. Do I have to take it off the timing case or can I just drill it in place? Are there anymoving parts in the timing case?

That's an after market timing cover. Take it off unscrew or drill through rivets what ever u gotta do but underneath the holes will line up.
Not sure how all u can see this pic but the two holes are at like 11 and 5.
