So the other day I went out to start my brand new Buell XB12R and the battery was dead, that's not the point of this topic though. After I got the battery all charged up I tried to start it again, to no avail. I got it to crank but no life. I wasn't getting a spark, so I started cheap..the spark plugs. When I pulled them out they were completely fouled. Replaced them and boom, good to go. On a previous post I asked about the oil level. I only have 236 miles on my bike (200 are mine, the rest were there when I picked it up) Anyway, even cold if I opened up the dip stick on the sidestand Oil came pouring out. The dealership has the bike with all of this info now. My question is, how much damage do you think running the bike for 200 miles with way too much oil in it would do. Do I accept that they are probably just going to change the oil and the plugs again and hope for the best, or do I push for them to do something more? And if you're feeling spicy, why would my battery be dead after only five days of sitting in the garage? Thanks for the thoughts.

the battery when new and fully loaded should not be dead after 5 days...not even after 5 weeks.
if this is the case, either the battery wasn't new or fully loaded or you have a powerleak somewhere.

the overfill over oil...
your bike would have been spitting the oil out for those 200 miles if it was that much overfilled.
when hot enough, it could even blow off your filler-cap.
but it's a dry-sump system, meaning that the extra oil can not flow to your engine.

When you are shutting your bike off are you locking the handlebars? If so be careful not to turn the key too far. Our US bikes do not have the parking bulb installed, so your parking lights could be on and you dont know it...thus draining your battery.

The bike was sitting in my garage, so I didn't have the forks locked. I'm guessing the battery is just crap. It's comforting to know that the overfilled oil didn't cause the fouled plugs.

MY FRIEND
THERE IS SOMETHING NOT NORMAL, YOUR BATTERY SHOULD NOT DRAIN IN THIS TIME. THERE IS A REASON FOR THIS, ALL SYSTEMS IF NOT "100%" HAS A AMOUNT OF DRAINAGE, BUT NOT IN 5 DAYS.
YOU DEFENETLY HAS A LEAKAGE IN YOUR SYSTEM.
IN RELATION TO THE OIL OVERFLOW, WHY IN THE WORLD DID THE BIKE GET OVERFILLED IN THE FIRST PLACE. I CHECKED OUT MY BIKE 100% BEFORE I EVEN TURNED IT OVER AFTER I TOOK IT HOME. IF YOU GET THE OIL LEVEL CORRECTED AND YOU DO NOT EXPERIANCE ANY PROBLEMS I AM SURE YOUR ENGINE IS OK, BUT TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE YOU SHOULD MAKE THE DEALER GUARANTEE IT FOR YOU. IT WAS NOT YOUR FAULTH THAT THE BIKE WAS OVERFILLED’’RIGHT’’?.

No, If I had known that the oil was supposed to be checked on the sidestand, not upright, I wouldn't have ridden off from the dealership with that much oil in it. My sales guy already admitted to being wrong about the oil level check, I fully intend to make sure that they are prepared to fix any issues that may arise due to this.
