So I was under the impression that the cb12sTT had a longer swingarm than the xb12r... So under this impression I bought an sTT swingarm... Go to order the belt and the local Harley place told me there's no difference from the sTT swing arm and my original R swingarm so I can use the same belt... WHAT THE HELL!!!
Somebody set my straight please!!!!!

The STT, X, XP, XT, and SS models all have the longer swingarm, longer belt, and different idler arm.

Yes, different idler pulley due to different belt angle, and longer swing arm. They obviously don't know what they are talking about. Find the belt part number online and go to the dealer an order it that way.

Ok... Bought a used xb12X idler arm... But I was wondering... If I bought a SS belt... Will it match up to the sTT? Since they are all longer???

I do not have any hard facts for you (sorry) but was helping a friend tune his custom Buell XB12R, and he told be he put a Ss swing arm on it, said it was longer than the XB12R swingarm, his bike did look longer than a stock R to me, (R frame with Ss swingarm) if you did buy the Ss belt, I'm sure you could sell it with little effort. I do not know about the idler bracket or pulley?

also his told me the R frame was longer than the Ss, so he did excactly what you are trying to do, the bike did have that " stretched out" look.

I can try to get in touch with him today and find out for sure about all that was changed.

Yes, the longer belt is the correct belt for the STT swingarm.

The STT, X, XP, XT, and SS models all have the longer swingarm, longer belt, and different idler arm.

Reading things over in detail helps:)

The R frame is the "short" or smaller frame. The SS frame is the "long" or larger frame.

Yea... I'm sorry, I was half asleep when I re-read everything... Thanks for the info and the help though!!! Very much appreciated!!!
