Hey everyone, next weekend a friend and I are leaving MD & riding a 3200 mile route through 13 states. Im filming the entire trip over 9 days (June 28th - July 6th) & I would like to meet anyone that wants to while were in your state. I would also greatly appreciate any advice on your favorite roads to ride / places to eat/sleep/drink/party etc (or if you have a spot for me :D lol) Well be stopping at each state line/sign for pics & anything else worth checking out. Below is my route that Im taking so far, I don't have a strict time frame as long as I'm in OK on the 1st & 2nd & back in MD on the 6th.

Thanks for any comments / advice, hopefully I get to meet some of you!!

Johnson City, TN (staying the night at my dads either July 4th or 5th)

looks like your traveling 70W through Ohio. Will you be staying connected with status via phone? If so and you can give me an idea of when you will be making the leg from Columbus, Oh to the Indiana border I can meet you.
[cool]

I'm North of Dallas, near Sherman. If you come up to Whitewright, we can ride Ida Rd. Nothing spectacular, but fun to ride. I can come up with a pretty good route depending on how much time you want to spend.

Ida Road

if you are going through arkansas you should cruise through hot springs man! little rock is a cool ride (got some great chicks and a good time at the buffalo wild wings in town just fyi) i wish you the best of luck man! if i was still in ruston id ride up and meet y'all!!!!

I am an hour and a half south of Columbus. All us ohio guys should meet up. If you're going through Columbus you have to stop at Max and Erma's for a burger. Muy deliciaso.

I'm in as long as it's not while I have to be at work

I'm in Stillwater, OK which is between Tulsa and OKC. I'd love to meet up and ride with another Buell. I'd finally get to see if other bikes sound like they're about to blow up also! :) Let me know more info when you get in this area and I'll try to meet up.

If you decide to re route yourself into Chicago I'd be happy to show you guys around and the fun places to ride as well. No worries if not. Safe travels and ride either way.

Wow! I didn't expect this much interest but this is awesome! To answer the few question, yes Ill keep this thread updated as were traveling, gotta stop every 150 miles anyway for gas, probably a little more often depending on how crazy we get while riding lol :D
Ohio guys... if you want want to get a group together & ride us to the state line or something then Im down for that. Def up for trying that burger place also!
Indiana guys... same thing, if you have a spot that we can meet up along our route & then head back down the road Im all for it.

Haha this looks like its almost turning into a relay from one state to the next, well just switch out riders at each border.

As long as we make it to Fort Sill OK on the night of the 29th then anything else in-between is fine...I still need to talk to my parents & get their schedule down since there taking an RV with the rest of my family Id like stop a few places with them for some sight seeing & if I plan so that I get to sleep in the RV at night then I don't need to worry about a hotel on this leg of the trip. From Ok to Tenn. & then home, were on our own.

If anyone decides they want to come join us on the "Tail of the Dragon" were going to spend July 5th playing on that & some other roads in the area :)

I don't have times down yet but this is somewhat of a schedule I came up with. I do plan on leaving MD around 6am so that should put us in Ohio right around lunch time for some burgers!!

Ill see if Greg can stop by after work today & well try to get a good time line sorted out so I can update this soon.

Sounds good! Well be coming into Ohio on rt70, do you want to meet up near the state line or when we actually get into Columbus?

***Also does anyone happen to have a chin fairing there looking to get rid of? lol I turned mine into a belly pan for a few races last year but I don't like "daily riding" with it.
