Anyone have anything good or bad to say about the ICON Alliance SSR helmet the fit, or vent system anything.

Thanks guys

I know it is not what you are asking for...but I have the ICON Airframe and love it. No complaints.

Icon makes good stuff. I have a Icon Domain and I like it much better than my previous Shoei RF-900. The only bad thing about Icon is the general clientele... seems like mostly squids and stunters endorse the brand.

i have a brand new Icon Domain 2 in blue and carbon fiber, stickers and tags still on it if anyone's interested. It was $390 new. i can ship it for $300. pics upon request.

I've got a Domain 2 that I like a lot. The vents shove quite a bit of air to the point that you can feel it skimming the top of your head and the Rubicon finish is awesome. The airflow can be a bit noisy so I wear plugs.

I got the alliance ssr rubatone finish and i love it i have only had it for a little while though.

The fit and looks are great however, I have found that the rubatone finish may be hard to keep looking good it seems a little more delicate then i had hoped. Also the vents that go over the top started coming unglued after only about 100km and my local dealer (who i dont have much good to say) told me there was nothing they could do. In icons defence mine may be one of few that the vens have come loose on.

I also have Alliance SSR in matte finish (rubatone). I bought it couple months back and used it for like 5 times/rides. It feels snug and kinda hard to remove but may be when broken in it's gonna be more comfortable. Fingerprint magnet - bitch to clean and keep it clean (you gotta pay a price to look cool) Can't wait to test it in hot weather but other users say that the ventilation is perfect. There is this "Hydra Dry" material that absorbs sweat away from the rider keeping them cooler and dryer. It also evaporates out this moisture twice as fast as previous materials so when you put your helmet back on after a hot ride it won't be like putting a wet, sweaty sponge on your head, hmmm will see. Oh and the padding is fully removable so you can wash it. Great price for the great product (I paid $130 brand new).
