Iv'e been looking at getting some Icon boots. Either Superduty2, Field Armor Chukka, or Field Armor. Does anybody have them and how do you like em?

I have the super duty 2 boots and they are very comfortable. Coming off motocross, boots were never all that comfortable so i kinda expected much the same. To my delight I never expected to be able to were them all day long at work

I just starting ridin with the Chukka's. In fact I'm wearing them right now. They are still kinda stiff, but I think they will break in nice. I did have to move the shift lever up and the brake lever down. They are a thicker toe and are less flexible then regular walking boots, but not bad at all. I did have to buy a 1/2 size larger.

I did trie on the Field Armors and they were horrible. Way too stiff, there is almost no movement between the foot and ankle. And they have a bright yellow icon logo on the heal.

Good luck.

Oops,... i think field armour looks like porn - order a pair (needless to say;)

I can't say how they are at the feets until i get them. I have lot's of Icon stuff. No boots yet, though.

Well thanks guys. I think I'll get some Chukkas after I get a new tire. Do they run big or small or about right? Whats awsome is the wife doesn't like me wearing "shoes" and she likes the looks of the Icon boots:D

From what I've read you'll have trouble getting your foot under the shifter with the field armor boots.

I have the Super Duty 3 boots and love them. Had them on when I had my wreck (was doing about 65) and they held up great and gave great protection.they were about a sixe big. (I wear and 10 in Adiddas and a 9 in the super duties)

I have the armor boots in a size 12 and it is hard as hell for me to get my left toe in between the shifter and the footpeg, they don't bend very well. not good for riding but they are comfy. They make noise when I walk too! they cool looking but I wouldn't suggest them for riding.

I have the the field armor chukka and love them! i wear a 13 shoe and my boots ran true to size.

Are Chukka's similar to my riding footware?

Barefoot running... reasearch shows over a 90% lower rate on lower extremity injury in unshod populations... as well as very limited research that technology in shoes does anything besides obstruct the natural biomechanics of the human foot, actually most research points out that the more exspensive a running shoe is (more advanced technology) the more shock can be registered at the knee and hip joints to something of the effect of 6 times the shock of a proficient barefooter because your body naturaly tries to feel terrain to adjust stride so runners in shes tend to push through strides over extend and strike heel first.. for me it has reduced the back pain I have had since becoming a runner ..
sorry to thread jack I am off my soap box now
