Ideas???

Hi

Just fitted my D&D system and the bike started to "popp and shoot" really bad . Every time i let go of throttle is sounds like a smaller war. Any idea? Sounds like it runs rich , what do i do?

From what I've been told, any time you put an aftermarket exhaust on these things, they pop a ton on Decel. My Jardine did the exact same thing all the time. My thought would be to either get it tuned or if you have a race ECM or tuning software, either custom tune or download a map for your bike with this pipe and load it into your ECM.

Free flowing exhaust = no back pressure on valves, no back pressure on valves = un burnt fuel fumes passing by the valves on de-acceleration, un burnt fuel fumes in a hot exhaust may combust making a bang/popping sound. Personally I love it on my bikes, its great to watch dogs and there owners loose there mind when your coming down from 7k rpm. Now, how to resolve it without closing up your exhaust flow? That I don't know, maybe someone smarter and less sadistic might chirp in.

Like said above, an EBR ECM or a custom tune would fix your problem.

Thanx 4 all input, dont missunderstand me: i LOVE the popping and backfiring its just that i wanna make sure that its to no harm of the bike. Got buell race ecm fitted and k&n filter and a hole bunch of uppgrades on it and i absolutely love my bike and if you talk to my wife Shell tell u that if treat my bike better than her
