Nice commute today up and back, took the long way home and stretched her legs out. EBR stator is holding up nicely and upon pulling into the driveway I notice some fluid.

So what's the consensus on this.

Don't take this for gospel as I very well could be wrong but my first guess would be a bad fork seal.

Does it smell like brake fluid?

Off subject, how many miles on the bike and how many on the EBR stator? I'm installing mine this week.

Stator has about ~500 miles or so. Bike has ~8,300 or thereabouts. I have put some 6,200 miles on it in the last 10 months, it's so addicting. I read about this 35mm film trick...[smirk]

Bad caliper...you need a new one. I'll take the old one off your hands, say...$25 to cover shipping? Just tell me where to send the $
:D

LOL

sure looks like a bad fork seal.

Did you paint that caliper yourself? Saw another forum member do the same and they turned out very good.[up]

that's a bad fork seal, it'll continually get worse so you might as well fix it quick now.

Nope no wheelies and no quick jabs of the front brake either. Nice and smooth...about 2 weeks till the next available slot at the shop. I'm thinking about ordering some T-Rex stands and just bring them in. Looks pretty easy in the Service Manual, couple of pinch bolts...can't be too hard!?

Rode her for the commute today. Got some oil there, even got most of the gunk last night with 35mm film under the dust cap.
