So I was on you tube... Seen this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDfbLyJnbe4&feature=youtube_gdata_player and thought well I've got a scratched right pod and a new one in a box so lets try. First I plasta dipped it just in case I wanted to take it off.

I wish i got a picture of the fined area before because it was gray. I discovered that if you spray it let it dry then take it off it looks like new as you can see in this next picture

well I didn't like it I let my kid pick the colors lol

and that's what it looks like coming off so this weekend I'm going to play around some more with it and see what i can come up with

I'm thinking about try some white and black. Going to have to work on getting a cool swirl going

Hows the plastidip holding up to the heat? I was going to do a belly pan but didnt know if it would stand the temps?

Someone on here did their chin spoiler and was wondering the same thing. He reported it stood up to the heat and rock chips so it's worth a try.

I'm not sure yet going to give it a try again this weekend i did get my windscreen done though

Without the mirrors the 1125r reminds me of Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon

I like it what exactly did you use is it model air plane paint? And you must have to clear coat after right?

Bolty there bar end mirrors just hard to see in that picture.
Buellbradski are you talking about the pod or the windscreen? The screen i just painted the inside of it with the plasta dip. The pod I pinned with plasta dip first then I used some borax in water. Then I laid model paint onto the water and dipped the pod into it. I didn't like the looks of the colors so I pulled it off since I put it over the plasta dip

I agree definitely potential there and cheap! Is it durable? Could clear coat over it I suppose...

Ya I plan on trying it without clear and seeing how long it lasts then I might try with clear. If it lasts a season thats fine with me ill have a new bike every season then lol

Yes i was talking about the borax and paint in water trick i like it for sure! Dont know if i could use it on my buell but i may toy with it on other things. [up]+1 for the idea

Lol that's great. I think I'm going to paint the forks with the plasta dip they just look off.

:D plasti dipped going to get them on tomorrow. im going to make some small wood wedges to open the triple clamps a little more and hope i dont scratch them
