Ya but I had the same issue this week. And nobody ever told him he was testing it incorrectly. So when I read this I thought maybe the manual was wrong like they say. But in reality its how u test it. The manual kinda misdirects where u place the leads if u take it litterally. It says place them on secondary. If u place both on seconday u get 12.xx ohm reading. U really place one on secondary and one on corresponding primary lead. And had someone mentioned that it wud have saved me a call to the dealer to ask if manual was off the mark and subsequently learning the right way on my own. This topic is also up in like 2-3 other threads.

i have the same issue and the same outcome and it happens on occasion as well. maybe a pictorial on where to stick what where is called for?

Okay so my camera is busted right now but you have the primary terminal up top. It has 3 connections: left, center, and right. You also have a secondary terminal, the two leads that head out towards each plug, left and right.

Set your meter to ohms. touch one terminal to the top left primary connection and the left side secondary. next one top right primary terminal and the right side secondary. that is how you test the secondary.

Then for the primary, touch one end of your meter to the center primary terminal and the left primary terminal for the left side, next again touch the center primary and right primary for the right side.
