So I've come towards the end of my fling with a sexy little asian. It was a hell of a ride and was thrilling to say the least, but I've had this empty feeling that I feel can only be filled with another Buell. the R6 should be sold soon and I will be keeping my eyes open for a new Lightning. Can't wait to be back.

If any one knows of an SS in the central TX area let me know. prefer 08 or newer but would take a clean 07 Project Dorothy will happen after all. (just wish I hadn't sold all the parts, starting from square one)

If it was financially possible I would of kept both from the start. As a rider I ad to own an I4 for myself. I rode friends but didn't want to push them hard obviously. The I4 is a hell of a set up obviously as it dominates tracks. Problem was I was dominatiing the streets and I know in time the street will dominate me. . . So until i can afford another R6 to be a track only bike I will go back to a Buell. There is just no way to enjoy a slow cruise on a R6. It's just not made for it. However I know as far as street riding I'll have and always did lead or hang with all the 600-1000's when it came to twisties and my buell.

2009 R6, i added a K&N race filter, smog block offs, Bazzaz Zfi and dyno tuned it, ummmm. . .. a bunch of other goodies. it eventually looked like this...

GPS confirmed at 167 on the speedo true speed is 149 with that bike

yeah thats about right, indicated speed was way off. Hurt like hell when i hot the pavement. Two surgeries later and im almost good as new.

Were you sitting at 290 and Tuscany way like 3-4 days ago. All black 12r with tail swap pulled up beside you? If so that was me, if not that bike is the exact same model.
