I'm in love with my Buell again!

Sad to say that I had not been on my bike in two years until last week. Between a deployment, shoulder surgery and having twins - I've had no time.

Two months ago I cleaned it all up and trailered it to a local shop to sell on consignment. My plan was to buy something more... practical for commuting to work. I test rode overy bike under 15k on the market just waiting for mine to sell. It didn't... So my wife dropped me off to pick it up. The way home was so much fun! Bang for the buck, ease to work on, fun to ride I'm in love with my bike again.

I decided not to sell it, but will need to do a few things to turn it into a more comfortable, almost year round commuter to get my 124 miles (2-3 days a week) round trip commute.

I've Google searched this site for years and decided to finially join. Thanks everyone for all the great information!

Tom - Welcome to the forum! Almost the exact story here. Haven't ridden in almost 2 years due to various reasons. Decided to get the bike in shape and sell it, but now that it's almost done I'm really itching to ride it again. I have a feeling the minute I fire it up again, I'm not going to want to part with it.

Like any other bad habit worth having: It's fun, sexy, and can kill you... You might be lucky enough to walk away unharmed, but all it takes is one little taste and you fall right back into it.
