im looking at a buell xb9s

my buddy is gonna give me his buell 2005 xb9sx city lightning with 8k on it for 4500. with a stabilizer and new bars.....new tires and new oil and such. the only thing i want is a 1200 over the 9? any opinions?

I own a 9. Love it. Canyon riding is great. Just my opinion. Insurance should be cheaper as a bonus. All the extas are a great bonus as well.

I've got a xb9, I love it. I've never ridden a 12 so I can't give an absolute comparison but just from looking at dyno sheets, it doesn't look like much difference.

you'll be just as happy with the 9 or 12, I have an '03 9s, gone through some cosmetic mods recently, but never the less owned for almost 7 yrs and still have grin on my face 63k+ miles later

I like my 12's but a 9 isn't bad. If you really want a 12 you could get one for the same price just may have to travel and be patient. If you get the 9 there is always room to go bigger later on. I still love the look of a clean black and silver xb9.

the 9s qualify for more club racing classes.. and you can get one that runs real close to a 12 with the right mods.. maybe faster..
