I'm on a low budget, does this beast really have that many problems?

I found a 1125CR with 1500 miles on it being sold for 6k. I can afford 6k but then I dont have much room for expenses on it if I pick it up. I have done some browsing on this site and it seems like they have a lot of problems even with them being low on miles. Could anyone give me some advice here please?

I really love the styling though its very unique, and it will be my first bike I hear it handles like a champ.

I hate to say it, but If you cant afford to fix all the inherant issues that seem to haunt the 1125 platform then you might need to look at a diff bike......perhaps the XB line. I know some will say "Mines been a champ with no issues",but only time will tell. Some just take longer to show their flaws.

It is hit or miss I would say offer $5K. If he takes it then it leaves you the G note to put in the rotor upgrade and ebr clutch fix these are really the only problems to the 09/10 platform.

It's a lot of power for a first bike, well any bike had a lot of power really but buells have a lot of torque, I'd say get something that you can just beat on and learn to ride good then move up. This all being said assuming you don't have very much riding experience lol. If that's not the case then ignore me lol.

The 09 1125 CR has a stator issue that can cost more than $500 to repair. This usually happens around the 5k mark. Ask the seller if the harness recall has been done.

Another issue is the clutch weep that can be repaired with a part from EBR for $100.
