If you wanted to do some engine mods ( head work cylinder work) to bump HP but retain some reliability what would be the best option?

Bump HP how much? 5%?, 20%?, 50%?! And "reliable" is subjective.

Lets assume you have already got a high flowing intake, correctly tuned ECM, and a high flowing exhaust. Those are by far the most dependable (and most common) HP increases.

Buells have some pretty amazing heads already. It would be hard to improve them easily.

More CC's are always nice[up] Always.

I'm a huge fan of my wet 35hp Nitrous kit. It goes unused unless I go for grudge night. It's been very dependable. People who haven't used NO2, are usually uninformed naysayers. "Dude the Nawws will 'splod yer motor bro!".

Or put on a turbo. There are some VERY nice conversion threads on here.

Personally, I'd like to see a positive displacement (Roots style) belt driven supercharger on one. Why? Well.., Because torque is King

How much money do you have? And, how much would you like to spend?

I'm really happy after swapping the primary drive gear and chain for one from an xb9. The gearing swap really wakes the bike up. Wheelie machine.

Twist throttle, release clutch, hang on, o yeah pray first! But seriously the xb9 conversion will make you feel like you have a ton more HP but you lose some top end!
