Riding out to Idaho and I'm wondering if there's anything I need to see. Its about 800 some miles and i'll be meeting a coworker out there. Is there anything I should see on my way?

i would not plan on that ride to soon the temps are gettin close to single digits and negatives and just to be a bitch mother nature is throwin in some snow here and there

Medicine Bow Peak outside of Laramie Wyoming. If you're riding the left hand, reducing radius, at the bottom of the look out is SWEEEEET! and there is a back to back hair pin on the way up that is a ball but it sneaks up on you. Pretty much any road in the Rockies [up]

CB750, I live in Boise and we have a riding forum here that's pretty cool. When will you be out here? Maybe we can get together for a ride. It's still pretty cold here and some of the roads are still kind of sandy. Let me know once you're here. As far as places to see on the way look up Craters of the moon in eastern Idaho. There are a couple things to see close to Twin Falls which is about 2 hours from Boise. 1. The Shoshone Falls which should be really booming by mid to late March. 2. There are year round ice caves near Shoshone. 3. There is the Snake River Bridge which is a really cool to take pictures at. You can legally base jump from that bridge year round.

800 miles? what route can get you there in that?
It's not the route, it's the vehicle. My Buell has the same technology as the Millenium Falcon.

This trip won't be until June 6. The guy I will be riding with has family in Idaho and wants to haul ass out there, 850 miles a day for two days. :( After that we'll slow down and see things. I think at some point he wants to go to Sturgis.

Good luck with that 850/day.

If you can fit it in, I'd do US 212 from Red Lodge MT over into Yellowstone. Wear your long johns. :D

I did 850 in a day once about 15 years ago. Thankfully I have the option of leaving on a saturday and having an extra 2 days to get there, that's why I was asking if there was anything to see on the way.
