Intake breather tube.

Whats the purpose of such a long tube on the intake seams kind of tall and close to the air filter holder. like it would restrict the air flow.
even if you do the air filter mods I dont read much about people changeing the intake tube to allow more air in.

Are you referring to the velocity stack? There are a couple kits that change it up. I have a unit called the FAST air intake that couples a modified velocity stack with a K&N air filter and a heat shield.

I'm guessing it's shape complements the Velocity "nipple" on the underside of the inner airbox.
