Just thought some of you 2-wheeled nerds might appreciate this.

It's silly what some people will spend their money on.

That being said, some of them are pretty wild.

Ok some people have way too much time and money on their hands. LOL That is unique in its own way though. At least they are making them their own. Similar to us Buell guys. I would have picked a different platform to make my own, but hey each to his own.
All kidding aside some of those things have a ton of effort, work and money dropped into them. I give those people credit that.

As crazy as they are, I have to say I'm pretty into it. I'm not too excited about the chrome and everything else any more than I am when I see it on a hayabusa, but if I was looking for a more relaxed and comfortable ride, I could see myself picking one of those over a cruiser anyway(if I was in Japan, I don't have the energy to put up with the non stop heckling you'd get here in the US).

That white one half way down with the green rim strip and the green just above the floor boards is my favorite. I'd feel like I was on something from the future. I bet some of them move pretty good too.

I don't think it's a standard scooter fad, I assume it comes from all those Japanese cartoons everyone is into, and it looks like most of those are from Japan. I'm not too interested in the cartoons, but I can at least see why some people are drawn to it...

The bad traffic congestion in Japan, China, and the Philippines makes it so scooters are the only thing that is practical on motorized two wheels there. They fit in the small compact streets and insane traffic jams better than even the crotch rockets, let alone a huge cruiser type bike. I guess if a scooter was my only toy, I'd be pimpin that bad boy out too![smirk]

I actually traded a honda scooter that I built for my XB9R straight across. It was a bad little bike, I just got hassled too much by the man.

I actually made most of the parts myself, and it was pretty affordable, about the only high dollar things were the motor and front disc brake, but I fabbed alot of the spendy stuff. They are pretty fun, and turn alot of heads, but I spent more time with it torn apart modding it than actually riding, so I am looking forward to riding more than modding lol. Thanks for the rep 7Mary3!
