I've posted a couple of times on the forums but never said hi or showed off my Buell!

About 4 weeks or so ago I bought a 2007 XB12S and it's probably the best bike I could've chosen!

Took the pictures just after I washed it. Here in Seattle we have been getting a bit of rain and it made the thing pretty gross looking! (I ride if I feel like riding, regardless of weather.)

Had just over 8 thousand miles on it when I got it, and now I'm about 400 miles away from 10,000. (This is my first bike.)

The last guy that had it did some pretty neat stuff to it. It's got a Drummer exhaust, I think the license plate has been moved (harder to see and makes the bike look cleaner), CRG levers, custom mirrors, LED turn signals... And I think that's everything.

I've see a few other Buells on the road so I'm wondering if there are any other Buellers in Washington on these forums?

Thanks everybody!

Welcome[up]

I would pop the air box cover off and see if it has a K&N air filter and check the ECM under the seat to see if it is a Race ECM. Looks like the guys spent some decent cash with the dummer pipe, oberon blinkers, CRG levers, bars/risers, and what appears to be rizoma mirrors and axle sliders.

you should make them click free by clicking the "image" button and copying the link in the box that pops up. or you can simply put
at the end of it.

nice bike by the way. Any plans for it?

I appreciate the warm welcome!!

Thanks, Konarider94. I knew about the [image] bbcode. I just don't normally use it because a lot of forum communities dislike it when users add big images to forum posts. Good to know people don't mind here. :)

I'm not sure what I want to do with the bike yet. Right now I've just got the 10,000 mile maintenance on my mind. Plus, I need to get the job I went to school for in order to have money. Don't have that yet.

I love this bike, though. I'm going to try my best to take good care of it.

That bike looks familiar... I remember seeing a write up on the "long horn" tail chop,

Interesting, Thunderstormgrowl. I tried to look around on the forums to find this but I couldn't find anything. Are you saying you think it might be the same bike?

A day or so after I had the bike home, I found the information of the last owner in the bike seat. I thought about going over there (as non-creepy as I possibly could) and asking for info on the bike because the H-D guy didn't know shit. But I lost that info somehow. So I'll never know who owned the bike before me! :-( But he traded it at the Ducati/Yamaha shop over in Bellevue, Washington. Then H-D bought it off of them.

But yeah, I haven't seen any other Buell with the tail end similar to mine, even online. I'm really curious of how it was done.

Sooo rare! 07 Regular S, awesome!

I didn't know they were rare! Thanks.

Thanks for the info, extremelow. I was going to take the airbox off anyway to change out the spark plugs, I'll definitely take a look for that stuff. I'm not sure what a race ECM looks like, though.

And yeah, this guy definitely spent some cash on this bike. I payed about 1 thousand or 2 thousand over blue-book with the accessories. I really don't think that was too bad. I didn't bother haggling, though.

DINKy, Welcome!
I live in Burien & have an '09 xb9sx.

This Saturday the 10th, there's a BOAR (Buell Owners And Riders) Group meeting at 11:00 am at Downtown HD in Renton/Mick Kelly's Full Throttle - Downtown Harley-Davidson 3715 E. Valley Rd Renton WA 98057.

I've got confirmations from at least 3 other Buellers that they're showing up & we'll probably go for a ride afterwards.

Send me a PM with contact info and I'll add you to the email list I have.

and Again... Welcome !

Blake

Buell meeting was informative stuff! THanks so much racerxrex and good to meet you!

I still haven't checked to see if that's a race ECM in the bike because I don't know what size of hex key is necessary to take that front fairing apart. Can someone help me out?

Also, I took off the airbox cover some time ago, but then got nervous with all the things plugged into the thing and I didn't know how to unplug them! I was too frightened to touch anything. DX
