Is Race chip and ECM the same thing?

I'm new to bikes,and I just bought a Xb12s with mods(exhaust, K&N air filter, and race chip). I'm just curious, is ECM and race chip the same thing? Also, the guy I bought it from said that the parts were installed by harley shop. Do harley shop do a manditory reset to the TPS after installing race parts?

Yes, and yes. Your bike would run like shit if you hadn't had a tps reset after that.
