Three years accident free..sort of but now I've finally gone done. I say finally since everyone says you've either gone done or will.

I went for on a benefit ride where the two bikes in from of me decided to stop and do burn outs where a friend of theirs died. I sat back and watched while adjusting my backpack. I start to go, not completely how it happened but I let out the clutch and got on the gas and the bike stood straight up. I bailed as the bike flipped over... bruised knees and palms only.

I could understand if I attempted a burn out but I'm not crazy (no offense guys).

I've got the headlight already, need to replace the handle bars, levers, turn signals, pegs and gauges. I'm not in a hurry since the season is almost over and I'm cheap, lol.

The seat rail on the right has scraps and the axle sliders took alot of the pavement.

Sucks doesn't it? Same thing happened to me. Everything is fine and dandy and then you're sitting on your ass on the pavement before you know it. It happens to everyone.

Thanks guys. I definitely know I'm very lucky. It does suck but I'm not stressing over it. Think I'm gonna spend the day putting the replacement stuff I already have on her.

Some better pics. no more then $300 in replacement parts (used). Trying to decide if it's worth keeping. Since I got my new car two months go, I've only rode it once.

What do you guys think I could get for it?
I've got the replacement headlight housing and light and a bunch of stock parts and plastics I could put back on it.

i guess when i saw "i let the clutch out and got on the gas...", i figured he did something. i have been riding alot of years, and i never had a bike "stand up" on me; but i suppose something could have stuck for a second or some freak mechanical thing could have happened...who knows?
i will echo other's sentiments.... i am glad you are o.k..
