Hey guys,

This is my first post here.

Do any of you ride with the new airbag style jackets? If so, which ones? It seems like each brand has a different airbag setup.

Is there a much bigger benefit to those over jackets with armor inside?

Ride safe,
Jeff

black could you explain what an airbag jacket is. i also havent heard of such a thing.

I do tech support at work, you have no idea how many times I've wanted to do that at work...

Yep thats it, They seem like a great idea. Some are more advanced then others but all generally seem to be better then a standard jacket with armor.

Anyone have one on this forum?

Lorenzo just went down a couple rounds ago for real wearing the new Dainese airbag jacket. It seemed to work really well for him.

But thats not saying much as Lorenzo goes down ALOT and seems to know how to crash well.

Edit: on a side note, if this is just for street use, a back protector would work just as well and be far cheaper. I think the airbags are more designed for like....120mph+ crashes.

They've had this for a while. I'm still scepticle about how it knows when to inflate. I'm assuming it's like a jet ski kill switch. I know I would get off the bike and leave it attached and inflate the jacket.

Yeah thats how it works dave. And I would totally do the same thing. thats why I dont use rotar locks, I know I would fug **** up

Never saw a airbag jacket.I ride with a armor H-D jacket that is like a glove and works when it has to..
