looking at ordering a jardine slipon for my 2009 xb12scg, looking mostly to improve the sound of the bike, an increase in power wouldnt hurt either. just wondering if I can run the pipe without a remap without hurting anything, dont mind the backfireing i know i will get. just wondering if anything negative will happen.

I have made enquiries into this with a local jardine supplier and was told that they were working on an application for the 09.I will see him again this weekend and will ask for an update.I'm after more note also but don't want to alter the current hassle free riding im enjoying.

I thought the 09's ran in closed loop longer so there was a better ability for the ECM to adapt to changes made to the bike.

The '09s can handle the exhuast mod okay, there's a few running with them now - but there've been some instances where the bike wouldn't run entirely right until being custom mapped.

And you'll get an increase in power, more so in mid/high - but since you're switching out the exhuast servo on your stock can, you'll lose some of the lower end grunt.
