Does "Hawk" do 1125s? That would be ideal because I really don't want to change the look of the bike. also want to get rid of the HUGE mirrors!! Any help is appreciated!
i know d adams on here mods the stock ones and he makes some sweet ones to replace the stocker also. hes got a website dont know it off the top of my head
Yes, Randy Hawkins does modify the stock exhaust. I have been waiting for some sound clips but none have been recorded and released yet for the 1125's. Here is his link...
Also, there are numerous others to consider. Just check out the ASB exhaust shoot out, Dean has the link on his website. Good luck and welcome to the forum. Let us know which direction you go.
I know you don't want to change the look of the bike, but the FMF Apex pipe really compliments the styling of the Cr's and they sound like a helicopter at idle
The stock pipe will never get close to that sound. I do mod the stock pipe for a little more thump, but it's less than 1/4 the volume. The one in the video was the RT-4 with a modified idle (lowered to 1300 or 1350) but nothing else. It runs $899 + shipping and polishing is optional.
Here's the first stock one I did. This one is $275, you ship to/from St Louis via whatever method you choose.
I also like the look of the stock exhaust but wanted a little louder and more power. So I went with the barker exhaust and got it powder coated black. Looks awesome, sounds very nice (loud with a great sound) and is about 14 lbs lighter. Just my 2cents
got an rt-3 on my 1125r and it is beyond amazing. very noticeable power increase and it is the most badass sounding bike i have ever heard...not to brag or anything...
