Yea its pretty sick. Not worth the price though. Imo. I mean no doubt its a quality part I just couldnt justify spending that much for something that doesnt give me performance gains.

They have military discount as well 5% its better than nothing. I would think if you modify your air box to be pressurized this could in theory, net at least a couple hp.

For a pressurized airbox you would not want those vents.

And I do mean ram air pressurized not forced induction. Just to be clear.

Your pressurized air would come from your left side air scoop, through the frame, and into your airbox. All those vents would do is blow the air right back out.

Not djs bike it doesnt have the hole in the frame. I dont think there is much fast moving air in that part of the airbox, maybe on a Lightning, so you wouldnt get much of a ram air effect.

My bike is a 2007 xb12r so the frame is sealed no air comes from my left scoop only the 1/2 inch vent above gas cap!

I wouldn't mess with the stock airflow. These bikes are designed a specific way for a reason.

I saw that site couple yrs back. I was gonna get that fiberglass gas mask but really didn't like the way u hook it up and it's a pretty penny for it

Ah. Gotcha. My bad. I forgot all buells werent like my 03! lol. In thay case yeah it would be an improvement over stock. Definately not a ram effect but you would get better airflow for sure. Check out nrankrin's airbox. Not sure if its a 1 off job or not. Most likely hes done it himself but it looks pretty damn good!
