Just picked up my first Buell a 2009 scg. Now cant wait till all the snow is gone to ride.

Welcome to the club. I have two a 2006 Lightning, and a 2009 1125r, now I can't stop be careful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome and yes my 1125r with 6miles on it is killing me
wish I could blow off 2 weeks work and go to Dayton bike week

Congrats! I've had my 09 Scg since November and love it! Too bad, winter came upon us like a wolf pack on a lost sheep...

Until the spring melt, at least I can stare at here...

Oh that is sad to see the Scg under a blanket of snow. Mine's in the basement now but I got to put almost 600 miles on it before the snow started flying.

I just polished the swirl marks off the plastics that the dealership caused while it was sitting on the showroom floor.

Can't wait for Spring![cool]

Welcome to the Best MC Club in the world. No hazing required. No initiation ritual. All you need to do is choose the best damn motorcycles ever made. By doing so you have proven you are not a follower. You are not a lemming. You are a very smart rider who appreciates innovation and ingenuity.
Be prepared to correct a lot of people when they call the air box cover a "cool looking gas tank."
Fortunately, I won't have to wait as long for "Spring." Winter isn't nearly as long in North Carolina as it is where I lived before in Massachusetts.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Buell. Keep the rubber side down and the chrome side up.

Welcome to the family Braindead. Start reading the DIY section and let your mind wander!

Dancing Dogs- What did you use to get those swirl marks out, my city cross has the same thing and it is killing me. I contemplated getting new plastic.

By the way, welcome to the club Braindead, Mine is in my basement with parts everywhere. Not really doing much to it, just exhaust. I might paint and anodize a few things while there is still snow on the ground. We'll see.

braindead,
only a buell owner can understand what a kick ass bike it is! I think now that buell is shut down our bikes will get noticed more, sad to say.

welcome Braindead, this forum and its peeps are the best!

funnythebunny, your baby is outside, in the snow...wtf?
[down]
sorry man, buts thats just wrong.....[confused]

onelogue- I see the novus kits on ebay, is that the best place to get them? Would they sell those at auto parts stores such as Autozone, or Advanced?

Living in NYC makes you do bad things... and for $125 a month for indoor parking she's gonna have to learn to sleep under a nice soft and vented cover outside for now... [mad]

BTW, she's on the sidewalk now, so the snow around her has been shoveled off. It sits on a dry pad for now... it ain't much, but she's not complaining!

I used Novus 1 and 2 with my Porter Cable orbital using an orange foam pad from Griot's Garage. I love their products and use them on my car(griotsgarage.com).

Came out great.
