Well I went to change spark plugs yesterday for peace of mind since the new Buell I just got had 17k when I bought it. I needed to get this job done before tomorrow so I went ahead and started changing the plugs yesterday. I figured it would be an easy job and just as thought, the front cylinder went smoothly. As I make my way to the rear cylinder, I use some needle nose pliers to pull the spark plug boot off the plug. Being in a rush because I wanted to ride, I grabbed the wire with the pliers and gave it yank. Pulled the dang wire out of the boot...I should have known better but I let my impatience get the best of me.

Pissed because I knew it was going to be a few days to get new wires and I don't have the time to wait! Frantically calling the local HD dealer, I asked if they had them in stock (I knew this was going to be a shot in the dark). Th parts woman tells me no go (Go figure) but says she knows another dealer up a little ways that has some. I couldn't believe it. She gives me the part number and phone number to the dealer. By now its 4:30 in the afternoon and them still being open would be a miracle.

I call them and to be surprise are still open and have two wires in stock... I didn't think I was that lucky. I had 30 minutes and I live 30 minutes away so I drove the hell out of my Jeep to get there. Made it to the dealer and got my plug wires. I was surprised how cheap they were also ($11 a piece after tax). Figured I should do the front one since I am in there so I bought both. Got them changed out in 20 minutes and was able to get a good hour of riding in before dinner. I was a happy camper.

So, anyone needing plug wires in Cincinnati, OH, don't go to Powder Keg HD, their stock has been depleted :). There are some out in the Eastgate HD

I've never been to Powder Keg (this is the old Aces and 8's, right) but have had good luck with Eastgate HD. They used to be a Buell dealer. If I remember right they still have the Buell sign out front don't they?

Thanks ztied!

Mrlogix: I wouldn't know too much about Eastgate. I moved here a few years ago for school so I still don't know a whole lot of the area. This is my second XB (last one was totaled before I could do much riding) so I am sure I will be venturing out there sooner or later for parts. I live in Oakley and used to intern at a company by Powder Keg so I just went there as I knew where it was off the top of my head.

Any recommendations for good roads to ride? I've only really had luck in KY and Milford.
