the rt xb1 has removable end caps i see. does that mean it needs to be repacked

Also remember there is no preprogrammed ecm for this exhaust as of yet. But they do look sweet.

Yes they do need to be repacked but Dean uses really high quality packing so it doesn't need to be done as often as a jardine. And no EBR doesn't offer a ECM yet but it'll be worth it to get a custom map with the RT-XB-1. One other thing is the sound the RT-XB-1 makes. Yes it is loud but it sounds so damn good it's the best sound you'll ever hear.

The RT-XB-1 is designed to be repacked with basic tools (drill, rivet gun) and should last a couple of years between repacks if you're really hard on it. I just checked the original 1125 RT-3 prototype about a month ago, about 1/2 of the packing was gone and that pipe has been on probably 7 different dynos (50-75 runs at a minimum) and has been abused pretty hard. I think it's got 7-8k miles on it. Every time I ride it, it makes it to redline at LEAST once per trip, usually through most of the gears.

Both of these will work with the jardine brackets. I can order them if needed, I've had a few shipped here.

The RT-XB-3 is fully welded. It can be repacked, but it requires cutting it open to do so. I don't have an easy way of riveting the end cap on it, so that's just how it ended up being made. I've looked into billet aluminum end caps, but it wasn't something I was able to do myself. I get the shells for this done in batches of 20 and I'm almost out of them. After I run out of the current stock, I may stop making this model, mainly because of the repack issue. It may last for a long time on a lower compression engine, but it's still a pita to repack it when it has to be done.

mate... you do the RT-XB-3?

i would be interested to know if you would post one in BLack to australia with the chin fairing brackets? can you do?

its for a 2009 xb12r.

thats of course if i dont win it in the prize draw (postage aside) ;)

Pipe is $600, coating is $80, brackets are $80 and shipping is roughly $100-125.
Yes, I can send you one.

Measure the outlet at the header. I assume it's 2” but make sure of the OD first.

I don't know db but the RT is quieter at idle but it's defiantly louder when your on throtle.

I like, or dislike, how in this video there is a point made to "ride without a jacket". Topped with the endless comments about crashing or even dieing.

Its unfortunate that extremely mature, safe minded riders have to compete with this mentality sharing the road amongst car drivers and two wheelers to boot.
