Wondering who here rides wearing kevlar jeans? what brand? Who makes the best ones for the money?

Anyone laid their bike down wearing them and how did they hold up/project you?

thanks

i've got a pair that i'll throw on if im not really going anywhere far.....like i just had them on about 5 min ago to go pick up a pizza about a mile and a half from my base....otherwords i wear my a-star pants which offer a lot more protection than jeans with some heavy duty kevlar stitched into them......

i honestly cant even remember what brand mine are....i got them on ebay a year or two ago....

I have a pair of Shift Kevlar Jeans, went down last year and they did their job, saved me from some major rash, and only had a dime size whole in the knee.

They're good for abrasion resistance, but not good for impact resistance. This means that they'll likely hold up fine on a slide, but the impact of your body hitting the pavement before that slide will not be absorbed in any way.

I, too, have considered purchasing a pair.

Recently bought a pair of Drayko Drifter from Revzilla. They are pretty well setup with kevlar down past the knees. Also got some Astars padded underwear and knee armor. I got the jeans in my size and they are a bit bigger, so hopefully the armor stuff will fit ok and not look weird.

I have the shift jeans. Couple reason had the best fit. And Kevlar but and knees
I would like another pair with knee armor for more spirted rides but normally put on my textile over pants

I went down after hitting a deer i na pair of ICON Barrier pants at about 40 MPH. The denim split at the knee (impact point) but the kevlar held up though I received friction burns but no road rash. I would buy them again.

Got two prs, Arlen Ness and RST, both a little different styling but do same job.Definately a must on short rides when full leathers are just not appropriate. Not needed their protection yet but nice to know its there. Must admit are a bit warm when not riding, but can't have everything - just the kevlar lining etc, and thats in the weather over here in good old blighty ( UK).
Good to hear you guys who've had to call on them have not been disappointed.
Always wear mine on short casual rides locally, you just never know when some prat/ old dear will pull out on you!

I've got some Icon Victory jeans. I haven't had to test them yet, but I like the stretch panel in the crotch. It makes the jeans very comfortable and gives the guys some ventilation.
