Can someone tell me how to bypass the kickstand switch on my 03 xb9s? Narrowed my problem down to the kickstand switch. Any pics of where and what wires to cut and splice would be nice.

Where is the switch located? I'm reading different things on this. I'm seeing by the stand, by the swing arm and under the seat which is why I'm asking.

unplug it from the sidestand and clip them then wire them together, problem solved.

I don't see a switch anywhere. Killing me! Bike starts, neutral light on, idles fine, put kickstand up pull in clutch, drop into 1st and bike stalls!

There is a rotary switch that turns and closes a circuit when you put the kick stand up... There should be wires running to the very base of the kick stand.... I'll go take a pic of mine

You can just unplug it and jump the two terminals together with a wire my man... You don't have to cut the plug off... You can do this till you replace the switch (if you're going to that is)...

.... this switch...

When your kick stand is up it closes the circuit inside of itself and sends a signal to the ECM so it will allow it to run when you take it out of neutral... Just unplug it and jump the two terminals in the plug on the bike side of the switch... The side that runs to the bike, not the one that runs to the switch...

Am I clearing up your confusion man??.... If not I'll take more pics if you need a walk through... It's not a problem... The bike is right out underneath my carport...

Thank you, I appreciate the help. I just cut it off and spliced together. That problem is fixed but I believe my plugs may be fouled.

Replaced plugs and bypassed kickstand switch but still having issues. Bike hits a flat spot about 2k to 4k and chokes out. Any ideas?

Ooooo .... Well mine has a stutter (just like everybody else's) from about 2.5k - 3k rpms ... but that goes away about 3k and below 2.5k ... Sooooo ... i'm not 100% what would be causing that man ... =\ glad we got the other issue fixed anyway!!!
