Hope this posts okay, it's my first one. Anyhow here are some pics of a recent aftermarket mirror mod I did to my ‘08 Bolt. I picked the up from Cyccon out of the Netherlands. Price is about $165.
After they were shipped it took about (6) days to get them. Came in good shape with amber lenses/clear bulbs in, and optional clear lens/amber bulbs in packaging. So you got a few choices.
They also kicked in a set of what looks to be Bikemaster/Kellerman rear turn signals that matched the amber lenses OK. I decided to pair them with the ‘10 model factor rear turn signals for $34 at the dealership.

Installation is strait forward other than routing your wires. All that was required was:

1) Removing the old mirrors.
2) Unplugging and removing the old turn signals.
3) Dry fitting the new mirrors.
4) Marking a position to drill a small hole in the
fairing (between the two existing bolt holes).
5) Drilling the mirror base, or grinding away
some of the baseplate lip on the bottom (I chose
this method)
6) Feeding the wires through/around the mirror base
then through the fairing.
7) Routing the wires down the inner fairing support
structure.
8) Connect the wiring turn signals for test.
9) Bolt down the mirrors.
10) To fill the hole left behind where the mirror
was I used a factory T-27 body plastic bolt and
nylock nut. You could also use and 1/4-20 bolt
and nut combo.

**TIP**
You can bolt them down direct from the package, but I found that the more narrow ends of the base plates are pointed the opposite direction from the factory ones. If you play with them for a few minutes you can figure out how to match them up. I can’t exactly remember, but it’s only one bolt, you’ll figure it out.

Bike looks nice and it's refreshing to see an informative DIY w/photos post for a first post.
Welcome to the forum.

Thanks Bossanova, I like a fresh clean look. Have done some other mods, but just haven't been sure about posting yet. Wanted to make sure that I gave a little description. They are only mirrors, but anyone new to turning a wrench might need the help. Plus I hate looking at other posts with to little info making me wonder?

Nice job and thanks for the detailed post/pics, I personally think they look better than the 1125R mirrors. BTW, how's the view with these mirrors compared to the OEM stocks. I keep reading that the mod using 1125R mirrors makes the rear view worse which steered me away from them.

Same shape and look as the 1125's, but much shorter and cleaner looking.

At first I didn't like the rear view, it took me some adjusting. But I'm 6'5" and weight 240, some humanity to look around. They are not convex like typical mirrors, so the in tight and straight back view is great. The wide angle not so much. This solves all of the factory mirror issues for me, because I'd rather see what is coming right up on me easier. Not that it is absolutely required with these mirrors, but most of us look over the shoulder (or should) when changing lanes anyhow.

The best part is that if you do this mod it is my opinion, cheaper than using thew 1125 mirrors, the whole way around.

If you look these are bulb mirrors, (2) pk Sylvania for $5. And when they burn out you replace them. 1125 LED's can burn one bulb at a time looking worse as time wears on. And you gave to by the new servo to get a proper blink rate at $22.

This Mod: $165 mirrors
$34 matching '10 factory rear signals.

1125r: $100 for take off mirrors
$76 for take off rear led signal
$22 new servo

Bay Area Bueller, I did some more riding with these on tonight. Found out that I just needed some additional adjusting. These are way better than stock, and when properly adjusted, you can see strait back and way out to either side.
