Alright I have an 08 XB12R with 5000 miles on the gauge. I laid it down on the left side and i broke the shift pedal and bike got stuck in first gear. well after that a buddy of mine helped me get it home and i wanted to see if the bike would start up and it did so i shut it off and just left in the garage till sunday. I went in to start it and nothing the lights and horn work, but it wont turn over just makes a fast klacking sound. Oh and alos it is leaking oil now on the left side right by the shift pedal. any tips or advice would help

The bank angle sensor is probably stuck and it thinks your bike is still on its side. Take your front fairing off and tap on it. It's right in the middle.

If you have the cable and ecmspy you can check any error codes. I know on the palm it shows the voltage of the bank sensor. That may help, but also check the battery voltage. As for the leaking oil can you take a picture of the leak? I think I may know what it is because after my wreck and getting the bike back together I had leaks all over.

thanks for all the info. but i have and 08 and from what i have read they fixed that issue on the 08 XB12's. and as of right now i can not find the voltage regulator. i have looked to the right side of the belt but nada

well turns it out it was the battery that was the cause of all my problems so i borrowed my buddys battery from his bike and popped it in and the bike started right up... my battery had a craked negative terminal and it also looks when i laid it down it leaked a little acid. but now i have a new battery on the way and should be back to right with in the next two weeks(due too current shipping times)
!!!!!!!!!!
