id say 190- 200, if your not shure go to your local motorcycle shop and take a 190 and 200 tire from the dumpster and mount it yourself.thats the best way to find out.

I did some measuring and I believe a 200mm will fit just hoping to see if anyone already had one on

I know the 190 will fit and I assumed the belt gaurd would have to go. I guess I will see come spring. One concern is the size variance between manufactures. We will see thanks for the input.

you get better turning with a 180!
A few people on here and other forums say you get just as good some times better turning performance with the 190. I guess you would need to try each one and determine whether it works better or worse for your riding style.

Yea, I get better turn in with my 190 rear since the tire is squeezed into a steeper egg shape, granted it also depends on manufacture and model. All tires are not built the same, I have a Michelin pilot road 190 rear and have experienced improvements.

will the 190 will work on the xb9r? if so, do you guys have any brand recommendations? [confused]

if you're running bad with a buell on a 180, your bike isn't set up correctly.

i've recently read a pro-rider experience on a xbrr which has a 190 stock tire and switched to a 180 as soon as he could.

All of this talk may be true between the 180 and 190 but truthfully I doubt many of the guys/girls on this forum are able to outride the capabilities of our bikes. Like mentioned a profesional rider swapped out his tire but I am guessing most of us ride the street not a preped track. So all together I guess what I have gotten from this post is just go with what you like and what you are comfortable with, thus allowing you to ride to the best of your own abilities and within your comfort zone.

Thanks for the input
Brandon

xtremelow, this is true, all about what you wanna do with your ride, as long as you're good, then it's all good.

anyone here have experience with Shinko tires? I primarily ride back and forth to work (mostly highway). They seem to have great prices but i don't want to sacrifice quality.
