Don't know which can I like better......

i am going to build one too. i have the muffler used to make the latus. edelbrock #5504 but got sidetracked and bought a buell race muffler instead. i'm still going to, but the intake pipe angle and bend has me just wanting to go for a ride instead. i am looking forward to seeing your progress and if i come up w/any ideas on mine i'll post to.

I have got a couple of tricks up my sleave for the design that hasn't been done before from what I have seen. I am a fabricator by trade so this project is actually going to be an easy one for me. I should have some pictures later this week.

if you want to know how it sound check out my youtube key word buell latus this is the one i made

very creative... keep us posted... you should snap some play by play photos of the progress you make.

I actually have the day off tomorrow so I plan on having most of it done. I definitely plan on play by plays. the only thing i wont have on there is the tips. I still havent recieved them in the mail yet.

Excellent job, Buellboy! I used to run a Latus and miss that deep rumble. Any internal mods, or is it all external plumbing work?

project is about finished. I have been taking pictures the whole way. It is mounted on the bike and working great. All I have to do is make the mounts for the cowl and finish the clean up to paint. all the pictures should show up here in about a week

Here is the finished product. I don't have any videos yet of the exhaust but will post soon. It sounds really sweet!

nice looking[up]. do you have any pics. of it before you put it on? curious of your fairing mounts & intake pipe. good job!

quick question. What do you guys do for means of keeping the chin fairing from breaking off the bike since there's no chin fairing attachment/bracket welded into the muffler?

You either weld on new brackets as above. or make brackets that attach to something other than the muffler.

Ya i just welded on the brackets to the new muffler setup that i did. Basically what i did was hold the cowl up with some clothes hangers to posistion it right on the bike and then made brackets from there. I then tacked the brackets on the bike and drilled the holes and mounted it before welding the brackets all the way out. Once the fit up was right, I then welded the brackets out all the way and finished it. There was a lot of trial and error in getting the muffler to mount and line up and getting the cowl mounted then.
