So after spotting a little oil had dripped down to my exhaust, I traced it back to find it looks like it's coming from somewhere on the oil pump, possibly the 90 degree elbow on the return line. Question is; do I need to start replacing parts of the oil pump assembly, replace the entire pump and gasket, or simply take that 90 degree fitting out, clean it up and add some teflon tape or similar product to it for a better seal. I haven't taken it apart yet and am just curious if there are rubber fittings at the joints or not. Anyone else had this problem? What was the solution? Thanks ahead of time for any info!

yea you can just drop the pump (its 2 allen screws i want to say its the back left and front right. the other 2 hold the pump togeather) and pull the fitting. clean it up and put it back in. i didnt put anything on the ones on my bike. but you could use some teflon i suppose. i wouldnt use pipe dope. dont want that clogging up your oil cooler.
