Hello everyone.

I saw a mod from anothere web site that I really like. The guy changed the light bulb from the dash board to some LEDs. Unfortunatly, that guys does not go on that forum any more...
I was wondering how I could do it. What LED should I use and how can I connect them ?

Here are some pictures of the finished dashboard :

Thanks everyone !

Oddly enough I just swapped to red LEDs last night. LOL. I have a few LEDs left over if you are interested. I purchased T3 neo wedge LED bulbs and they fit same as stock. Remove factory bulbs and twist in LED bulbs. Had to buy a pack of 10. You need 3.

Last time, I used ones of that style they created hot spots on the lens... however, mine were the ones with the white areas on the overlay and/or the aftermarket ones. I had a idea of putting a dollop of hot glue or clear silicone over the led to help diffuse and disperse the lighting.

Yours seemed to work well.

Its good but not perfect as you can see. I thought about trying to put glue, tape, frost tint, diffuser, or something on the LED face to disperse the light more but it doesn't bother me enough to pursue. I have a few extra LEDs. Maybe I will play around with it. IDK. I think having the short LED helps. I have heard the taller bulb style LEDs are worse as they are closer to the display.

According to google, the replacement is T3 Neo wedge bulbs.
OK. That seems to be the easiest idea as it seems to be plug n play.

Always wanted to print a Electroluminecent (EL) dash sticker.

Yeah, look cool. Although, it probably costs a lot. And I would need to have the exact size/color etc... of the dashboad on a PDF... And I don't !

Thanks ! That seems to be the good way to do it ! I don't really like it red but, as I can see, it seems to work perfectly.I guess I will go for some white T3 neo wedge LED bulbs. Seams easy and cheap !

Thanks guys !

I did a little experimenting. I sanded the face of the LED, glued a clear lego on top, used hot glue, and used super glue in various combinations. Sanding the face of the led gave a noticeable improvement in hotspotting. Sanding it and then letting a drop of superglue dry on the face was the hot ticket. It really helps diffuse the light. I highly recommend it.
