Hey guys,

New here, was getting rid of those goofy stock turn signals today, replaced them with 12v LED strips.

The fronts worked brilliantly, but when I did the rears, I get error buzzing and the signal just stays solid instead of flashing.

What's different about the front and back? What do I need to make them flash.

Thanks
Matthew

You need an LED flasher unit. If you search in the forum, you will find DIY posts on how the stock unit can be modified.

Flasher units require a certain amount of load to flash. That is why when one of bulbs burns out the remaining signal flashes fast. By just changing one end on your bike it will still flash. LED's do not pull enough load for the flasher to work properly.

I had a similar issue and picked up an ep36 relay from Autozone for 10 bucks. It plugs right in to the stock connections and fixed the whole issue for me.

EDIT - Make sure it is an LED relay for 3-6 Lamps. Sorry didn't add that before.

What Enemyzone said, buy an electronic flasher. It's plug compatible and doesn't care what the load is. It flashes as intended regardless of the load.

I tried using resistors, but couldn't figure out the correct ohms to make my LED flush mounts work. One trip to Autozone, $15 later, done.
