led signal help ep35 and 36 wont work

So i bought some led signals. And i got a new relay. I tried the ep 36 and all it did was buzz and the lights would not flash at all. So i took it back and got an ep 35 and the same thing. Both from napa. Whats the deal guys?

You're installing it where the factory blinker relay was right?

did you try the blinkers before using these relays? Your blinkers may not need them.

yes i installed it where the factory relay was.

i did try with factory relay, same result.

the relay does NOT say led on it. neither the ep35 or ep36 did.

tried to take a picture it is ep-36. You're original one should work if you are only using 1 set of the blinkers. If you're using 2 then you will need the led relay.

im using two sets. how come there are two different ep36's? is my napa just ****** and has an old version or something?

ive read about people using resistors. im guessing you have to wire a resistor in parallel with one of the lights. anyone know what size resistor

i too am in your boat kona. i've tried 10 ohm 10 watt resistors and didnt work

I had the Napa EP-36 relay, and it just buzzed while the blinkers (front and rear) stayed solid. Returned it.

Pick up a Grote EP-36 if you can find it. Or find an alternative. My bet is that the Napa EP-36 have different specs.

my napa could not get one .I got the grote led flasher and the first one of those was bad even

does that say 3-6 lamps?
try reversing the polarity i know one is wired opposite of the other

ok so update. the old version of the relays work good, they were made in USA. The led relays work with incandescent bulbs too because they work on an electronic timer. well the new ones are made in taiwan and they will not work with leds and they do not say led on them. I figured this out when i found one old one in the very back of the rack. napa doesnt know how to get the led ones so i went next door and ordered a second one from napa to help my friend with his led's. Thank you everyone for your help. The old one i found at napa looks just like the pic flaya posted. The one i ordered from napa looks like the one from ASB.

Long story short napa cheaped out and changed suppliers, they just use junk from taiwan now. The USA part is far superior. See pic below for what the package should look like.
