I know you are handy with the photo shop and was wondering if you could do one up for me?

What I have in mind is a XB12Ss with a S tail, Xb12R front fairing cut down like mine, and the stance of an Scg. If possible in a dark blue color but that doesn't matter to much if it makes it any more difficult.

My thoughts were to modify a pic of NittoSS's bike by changing the front fairing and just lower the stance a little. I am thinking of selling my bike and going to a heavily modified bike using stock parts to retain the clean factory look.

Any help would be great.

Not to pick it apart because that is more than enough but can you lower it some, and unclutter the belt guard area.

Thanks a million even if you don't feel like modding it more.

Got me wondering if it would be worth just swapping my tail out for a S tail and Scg seat and just forget about the Ss swingarm and suspension.

Not sure if it because my fairing cut down so low or what but those bikes look really bulky and high in the front.

In my mind I want to keep everything balanced. As far as the amount of hang over of the front fairing to the front tire and the tail to the rear tire. I guess to get the look I want I will have to use the Ss swingarm and Scg tail and fork setup.

Also those bikes just look way to high in the front. I guess in my eyes they look like they were two bikes put together, where I want the seemless look as you know it is custom but it looks as though it could have come that way from the factory.

Oh forgot to say the front and back of the photoshop is balanced perfect I would just like the gap in the front to match the wheel perimeter better, that is why I would want the Scg susp.

hey dave are you sure you didn't just take a picture of someone's already put together bike over there buddy??? :D

Nice work man, seriously, looks like an actual picture

thanks only1reds. I guess its one of the perks from geeking out all day. [sad]

I don't think it looks balanced either. Why not just keep the tail on the Ss and just put the bolt fairing on the Ss. Maybe even a slight tail lift

I would do a tail lift but unlike the photoshop my fairing would be cut down some so the height front and back would be the same and the amount of hang over front and back of the tail and frairing would also be the same also.

I dont like the Ss tail it looks to long, plus adding the S tail gives the bike the Stretched look without sacrificing handling of an actual stretch.

Just got all the parts for my ss to s tail swap. After looking @ Nitto's I'm glad I already have subframe spacers to fill that gap that lead him to mod his rails. I have been debating on doing an r fairing for a while, though x yours is only the second one that i've ever seen that I really like. Uncut the r fairing looks way too bulky.

Currently I'm just accumulating parts cause I plan on fiberglassing my own mono seat and maybe airbox when I do the conversion to an s tail.

out of curiousity, can you lower your stock forks by switching out the guts cause I really just want the front lower, what would this do to the handling?

I have always wondered that.

I would say there has to be a way to cut the springs although it may not be the ideal way to lower the bike, I would be willing to bet it can be done. Now has anyone done that or even attempted it? I doubt it, I don't see to many Buell owners that are willing to hack up their bikes.

People say the inner fork tubes are to long and will hit but if you simpley cut your spring keeping in mind the spring rate there should be no problem. If you are able to strap your bike down and have the inner forks slide nearly all the way in then why the hell wouldn't you be able to just cut the spring? I know you wouldn't have as much travel and your rebound and compression would be different but I have a feeling it could be done.

Oh also I have rposted this photoshop with my addition.

My photoshop twist from Dave's photoshop.

That is the look I want.
