nope, sounds like ****. You should sell it to me real cheap. Then you could go and buy yourself a spare scooter or two that you wax so eloquent about. LOL.

Pushrod engine, sounds normal to me.

These things come in a variety of sounds, some louder than others sound tick more some tick less. Video never allows the whole sound or true sound, may be ok but, taking note the "tat tat tat" noise got louder with load. Its not uncommon for rod bearings to go bad, and you may be on your way out

Wow, that is some loud lifter chatter. You should sell it to Mrlogix.

I don't know the difference between the 07 down and 08-10 in terms of valve train noise, my 08 is quiet.

This is my first time doing this so I hope it works but this is my 09 Firebolt with a Drummer SS. It's really quiet in the video but still a little difficult to pick out the engine ruckus.

Chicago, here you go... I started a YouTube Chanel just for you...

The only chatter is the crappy Jardine popping and the broken LED blinker in my mirror from lane splitting. I even touched the phone against the cam housin for ya... You can hear the gear nois from the cams and the tight shuffle of the lifters doing what they do. This is a tight engine. It is possible to own a Buell that doesn't sound like a can full of rocks.

Thanks. I nearly parted it out when it had the rod bearing failure. I could have bought a new one for what it cost to rebuild the engine with all new parts but I didn't want to get a new problem bike. I did my homework and this is the fruit. Love it.

I've learned more from the knowledge base of this site and a service manual than I thought was possible.
Thanks to all of you who helped.

By the way, Cometic sells head gaskets in different thicknesses which could help in tightening up the space between lifter and rocker arm. The kit I had was half as thick as the crappy stock gasket.
