Ok, where can I get a swingarm or rear axel mount for my firebolt that does not cost five times what it should? Anyone??

good question, I'd like one. I know I found an article about verticle ones not being legal in maryland but then was told they were. Which is it?

I live in Saint Louis, city and the cops dont give a **** about licence plate mounts. im not sure on the laws.

they really dont care in D/FW either, unless you are drawing attention to yourself. Who cares if its legal or not anyway? We drive well above the speed limit, put parts on our bike that are not "street-legal", and we cut through traffic like butter. If I have the plate on the bike...its good to me no matter where it is. If you seriously want to stop me for the sole purpose of saying, "your plate is about a foot away from where it should be", go right ahead. Can you read it? great get off my back.

Most equipment laws state that the plate has to be the furthest thing on the rear of the bike, because that's how they come from the factory. If fender eliminators were legal, all bikes would come with them.

Anyways, they arent too hard to make. Try doing that cause I haven't seen any company making them for the Buellers.

You could make one like the one I made from Evilxb design. His fell apart due to welding issues but mine has about 7500 miles with no problems yet[up]

I want the one that fits over the bike tire think it looks spiffy and will help block water from flying up

Browland's idea would work for me too as long as it is horizontal. I think I've seen what he's talking about in a thread already. Unfortunately Florida doesn't allow the vertical plates, its a $1000 fine for the first offense, WTF!

Florida changed the law again I am a tech just outside of Orlando and one of our customers is a cop here and he had his plate vertical on his bike I asked him about it and he said they changed the law back right after the first of the year.
As for the plate mount behind the tire well I'm the one that posted this picture, no on can tell me where it comes from or if anyone can make it. I've searched for over 2 years and no luck. Dear god if I could have found it it would already be on my bike. All i know is that it comes from the UK somewhere, it was featured on a bike in STreetfighters magazine article in #157 on a Buell XB, in the magazine it said it was made by Rizoma, still no dice finding it and of all the fabricators on this sight no one has said they can or will make it. Please let me know if you can find any info on it I'm about exhausted looking for this but damn I want one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah I also contacted Streetfighters magazine to see if they could help and well I guess the love doesn't extend across the pond so to say I got no response! Also o hate the showyo moto one I think it looks gaudy an bulky plus I don't want to drill into the swingarm to mount it either and this style has a pinch clamp type mount so no holes!!!

That's slick Xtreme - was going to ask about yours in the 200mm tire thread.

eBay here I come :)

Me gusta xtremelow. What search criteria did you use to find that bracket? By the way you earn rep points for the matching plates MYXBS and MYXBR plates.

just ebay search motorcycle license plate bracket. i found a few on there for $20.

on another note how can i post ebay links? says i cant use words over 60 characters so i cant post the URL.

Just called the Palm Beach County Tax Collector, was forwarded to the Sheriff's Office, and then forwarded to the Florida Highway Patrol. It seems that nobody knew that it was even ever an infraction to have the plate mounted vertically. I even dug through the current Florida Statues website and couldn't come up with anything. So, on a calculated risk, I think I'm going to get one of those ebay brackets.
